Crab Cake on hamburger bun
It feels like it’s been a lot of crab cake lately, but we just found the winner. From the deep frier of a fair-style tent, comes this crispy treat that managed to perfectly marry the crispy edges of fried food and the softness of cooked crab meat. Topped with tartar sauce to provide a cool finish, this seemingly banal bun was brought to a luxurious life by this elegant crab cake. A wonder not found at many summertime fairs, it may well be okay to trust seafood from a tent. Still be wary, but it may be okay. Maybe.
