Bruschetta on garlic Italian

You can certainly eat a sandwich on a date. We have before and we have again. Chopped tomato and basil mix with a heavy garlic flavor in this homemade bruschetta mix, which spreads nicely on the grilled garlic bread. Chopped bits may always wander, so we chose sliced provolone here to hold things together– mozzarella is the obvious choice, but we’re low on supplies– and it does the trick. Biting into the soft exterior of the bread and through to the crispy interior portions is just a precursor to the explosion of juicy flavor that comes at you. This is a good date, even if you’re dating yourself.
