As summer comes to an unofficial end, we celebrate the debated sandwich meat of hot dog. but while you’re grilling you can slice that sucker length-wise and really get things cooked. And while we wouldn’t suggest you do it with thick bread, as pictured, putting a couple dogs between two slices of bread is a surefire way to end the conflict: a hot dog can be a sandwich. Be the hot dog. Don’t let others tell you what you can’t be.
