Pastrami and Apple on pumpernickel rye
There’s a rainbow of autumn in the trees, and as they change color we also consider change in our own lives. A new job, maybe? A different place to live? A new love? Pastrami and apple are here to teach you a small cautionary lesson about change: sometimes it leaves you with regret. The biting kick of pastrami seems like it would be naturally balanced by the sweet juice of apple, and yet this combination leaves you feeling that maybe these two were better on their own. There are no compliments on these complements, and even the spice of pumpernickel can’t join the forces together. And that’s okay for us. As we experience change, the result is not nearly as important as the lesson we take away. We have the power to make those changes, and if the outcome is not what we hoped for, we can make them again.
