Chicken Mozzarella on focaccia roll

When life gives you a DQ gift card, make art. That’s what we did with a recent trip to Dairy Queen to explore the artisan-style sandwich portion of their menu, where we found this little gem hanging out. Loaded with mozzarella, chicken fingers are re-purposed and covered with marinara sauce (that surprisingly did not cause indigestion later) to fill the sandwich. The cheese-crusted focaccia is where it’s at here, as it really adds dimension to an otherwise dangerously forgettable sandwich. Slap some fries next door and a blizzard chaser and you may find yourself in a food coma because you’ve been eating so healthy lately. That’s what happened to us, anyway. Was it worth it? Of course.
