Bison burger on hamburger bun


“Oh give me a home, where the buffalo roam,” in my belly. This burger is made of a combination of bison (buffalo) and beef to make a piece that’s easier to cook than straight buffalo, but a tad bit healthier. Less cholesterol and fat means you can throw some cheese on there, right? Leaner than beef, but heartier than turkey, bison-based burgers can satisfy in a time of year where everything’s going to the turkeys. The flavor is just as compatible as solo-beef, too. So get out there on the range and find yourself a good-looking grocery store that sells bison. We’re not hunters here, but if you are, go for it.
