Turkey and Cheddar on rye

Weekday lunch. It’s a good time to get out with work friends and catch up on times past. Though it’s also a good time to lock the office door and hide under your desk alone. It’s smokey, and that’s what’s left when the fire dies down, hosed off with cranberry preserves, mayonnaise, and crisp lettuce, tucked between rye bread. Now lunch is over and it’s time to rebuild.
